About Us

Full of creatives who are experts at their craft, this biannual indie craft fair is the Midwest’s celebration of the handmade movement.  Founded in 2011, The Strawberry Swing has become a Kansas City tradition, with two fairs, The Summer Swing and The Holiday Swing.

This year, we have some big news:  the people asked and we answered {we had a Spring Swing}!  May 2nd & 3rd at The Historic Alexander Majors Barn & Grounds at 8201 State Line Road, Kansas City, Missouri from 10am to 5 pm and it was SO MUCH FUN.  Stay tuned for more information on The 5th Annual Summer Swing!

Our goal is to create an indie craft event that becomes nationally known as a “place to be” for all lovers of handmade and recycled/upcycled items.  Buzzfeed recently recognized us as just that: one of the Top 35 Indie Craft Fairs in the World! We support small businesses and the handmade craft movement.  We also support saving our environment through the sale of recycled or ‘upcycled’ items.  {Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value}

Our past events have included food trucks, a photo booth, live music and 60+ vendors!  The Swing has donated 10% of all vendor fees to Rosedale Ridge, a non-profit organization, striving to foster community and hope through after school programming.

Want to be part of this awesome experience?

Apply to be a vendor or attend as a guest!  Attending the event is {free}.  The first 100 guests will receive a swag bag, including items donated by vendors & sponsors, too!
