About Us

Full of creatives who are experts at their craft, this indie craft fair is the Midwest’s celebration of the handmade movement.  Founded in 2011, The Strawberry Swing has become a Kansas City tradition.  We have a fair for every season: Fall, Holiday, Spring and Summer Swings!

Our goal is to create an indie craft event that becomes nationally known as a “place to be” for all lovers of handmade and recycled/upcycled items.  Buzzfeed recently recognized us as just that: one of the Top 35 Indie Craft Fairs in the World! We support small businesses and the handmade craft movement.

Applications are now open for The Holiday Swing! Click HERE to apply.

Our past events have included food trucks, a photo booth, live music and 75+ vendors!  The Swing donates a percentage of vendor fees to different non-profits at each event, as well!

At The 5th Annual Summer Swing, we raised almost $2,000.00 for Pro Deo Youth Center, a non-profit organization who works with at-risk teens to provide consistency & advocacy for them by running an after-school and summer program. They aim to fill the gaps where teens are being neglected.  We LOVED helping them out!

Apply to be a Vendor or a Sponsor or attend as a guest!  Attending the event is {free}.

  1. We are the Dan Riggs Big Band. We play all types of swing music from “In the Mood” to “I Feel Good”. If we can work it out we would be a good fit for “The Strawberry Swing”. Please let me know what step(s) need to be taken for future consideration. Thank you
